Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to retrieve the missing bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Laura.

Let's validate your bank connection status. If your bank connection has expired or been disconnected, QBO will be unable to import new transactions until you reconnect and provide consent again. Any transactions from the time of disconnection may have been skipped. However, we can recover them by reconnecting with the right date range. To reconnect your bank, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Transactions and select Bank transactions.
  2. Select Connect account.
  3. Choose your bank and choose Let’s go.
  4. Review the terms and tap Agree.
  5. Sign in with your online banking credentials and follow any required security steps.
  6. Select the accounts you want to connect.

Once done, let's reconfirm your consent once more since it will allow you to choose the correct start date (the day the connection was lost) to capture any missed transactions. You can check out this article for more details about the process: How to re-consent your bank feed connection in QuickBooks Online.

If bank transactions are still not showing in QBO, follow the steps in this article to troubleshoot the issue: Find and fix missing bank transactions in QuickBooks.

We can also manually download the missing bank data from your bank or credit card in the program. Refer to this article for more details: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks.

Once you resolve the issue with the missing transactions, visit this article to categorise them: Categorise online bank transactions in QuickBooks.
