I'm here with some instructions to help you connect HSBC to QuickBooks, @userbalajuheightltd.
To start, may I know if you're receiving a specific error message? I'd appreciate it if you can provide info about this so I can find you a timely solution. Also, I suggest reaching out to your bank to check if they having any maintenance updates.
In the meantime, let's connect your bank to QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private browser. Private mode prevents storing cache and cookies that might cause problems when running websites.
Here are the shortcut keys you can use:
Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
Safari: press Command + Shift + N
Once signed in, connect your bank again. Here's how:
Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
Select the Banking tab.
Click Connect Account (first time connecting) or Link account/Add account (if you've already created one).
Search for your bank.
Hit Continue. Enter the username and password you use for your bank's website in the window.
Follow the onscreen steps to connect. Your bank may require additional security checks. It may take a few minutes to connect.
If this works, let's clear the cache of your regular browser. It will remove the stored cache or cookies that might cause the problem and this also refreshes your browser's background processes. If you still can't connect, use another supported browser. It could be that the one you're currently using has a temporary issue with QuickBooks.
Please know that you can always post here if you have further concerns about connecting your HSBC to QBO. I'll be around whenever you need further assistance. Take care always.
