I've looked into this further and it shows that Barclays is one of our support banks. Let's perform the basic troubleshooting steps to check if the message you're receiving is browser-related.
Sometimes your browser stores too much data which can cause communication issues with QBO. Open the company using the private or incognito mode and then access your Barclays account from there.
Private browsing blocks websites from restoring data and is a good place to start if the error is caused by the cache. Here's how to open one:
Google Chrome press Ctrl + Shift + N.
Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer press Ctrl + Shift + P.
Safari press Command + Shift + N.
If you're able to access the account smoothly, clear the browser's cache to enhance the browsing performance. Make sure to uncheck Cookies and other sited data so you won't get signed out of QBO.
However, if you get an error code, the following article outlines the instructions on how to resolve it: Open Banking Connection Errors.
Keep me posted if you need further assistance while working in QBO. I'll be right here to help and make sure you're taken care of.
