If you've noticed that QuickBooks no longer automatically download new transactions, you can perform a manual update to refresh the connection. Here's how to do it:
 

  1. Select Banking or Transactions from the sidebar menu.
  2. Head to the Banking tab.
  3. Choose the appropriate bank account.
  4. Select Update.
  5. Check the For review to view the new transactions.

Additionally, bank errors can also block the program from downloading your latest transactions. If you happen to encounter one, you can browse these articles to be guided in resolving the error: 

 

After you download the bank transactions, it's time to categorize and match them. Then, reconcile your accounts so they always match your bank and credit card statements.
