Bank Statement PDF always attaches to the most recent reconcilation

Hello,

My reconciliation history shows some older recon's without a paper clip indicator. I focus on an older recon dated 12/31/2023. From that line, I click thru the 'attach' option and drag the 12/31/2023 PDF, which successfully uploads.

However, the 12/31/2023 PDF attaches to the most recent reconcilation (which now has two attachments).

This is a bug. Is there a workaround?

We have not received similar reports about statements that are attached to the wrong reconciliation, @gigportal.

 

In the meantime, I recommend removing the incorrect PDF attached to the most recent reconciliation and attaching it again to the correct one.

 

Here's how to remove the attachment:

 

  1. From the left menu, hover your mouse over More and choose Accounting.
  2. Select Reconcile.
  3. Click on the attachment you want to remove.
  4. Hit the Trash bin icon.

 

You might want to explore working with QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted services. They can offer guidance in attaching statement to reconciliation within QuickBooks Online.
