How do I change the account details/type?

We can head to the Chart of accounts to update your account type, Greg.

Before making any changes, I recommend consulting your accountant so they can guide you on selecting the appropriate account to use. Once done, follow the steps below:

1. Open your QuickBooks account and go to the Gear icon.
2. Once done, select Chart of accounts.
3. Locate the account you want to update and click the dropdown from the Action column.
4. Click Edit, then select the correct account type from the Account Type dropdown.
5. A warning message will appear, informing you that the change may impact your accounting and reporting. Review it carefully.
6. Once everything is finalized, click Yes and Save.
