Question

How do I edit my mileage rules? I found the rules section in the drop-down settings menu, but it automatically goes to transactions and I can’t see any option to switch.

Hi there, @nic-blackgoldrea.

I'm here to guide you on how you can edit your mileage rule in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

QuickBooks Self-Employed allows you to edit bank rules on both platforms (mobile and browser). However, the option to edit a mileage rule can be done on the mobile app. Know that this feature is still on beta testing and is not available to all users.

To do that:

  1. Click the Three horizontal line icon or Menu icon.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click on Manage Mileage rules.
  4. Open the list of rules.
  5. Tap on the transaction and click on Update.

However, if this option isn't available on your end, I'd recommend deleting the rule and create an updated one.
