Hi,

 

I categorized transactions by mistake. How can I undo these categorized transactions in bulk in the Quickbooks Desktop?

I recognize that you're looking to undo categorized transactions in QuickBooks Desktop, Ugur01. However, QuickBooks Desktop doesn't currently support an undo feature for categorizing transactions.

 

You can consider deleting and recreating the transactions if you want to uncategorize them.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Navigate to the Banking tab.
  2. Choose User Register.
  3. Use the dropdown menu in Select Account and confirm by clicking OK.
  4. Locate and double-click the transaction you wish to remove.
  5. Press the Delete button.

 

 

 

  

After deleting the categorized transaction, you can go ahead and enter transactions in batches in QuickBooks Desktop. For directions on how to accomplish this, please refer to the article titled: Enter a transaction by batch in QuickBooks Desktop.

The ability to delete categorized transactions in bulk in QuickBooks Desktop is currently unavailable, Ugur01.  However, I have an option to achieve this task effectively.

 

I encourage you to submit your suggestions and concerns by leveraging the Send Feedback Online option in your QBDT. It is the most effective way to communicate with our product development team. Here's how you can provide your suggestions.

 

  1. Go to the Help option.
  2. Select the Send Feedback Online option.
  3. Choose the Product Suggestion option. A pop-up window displays.
  4. Input your feedback suggestion.
  5. Click the Send Feedback button.

 

You may consider using third-party tools that can help delete categorized transactions in bulk: QuickBooks App Store.
