I did what the instructions said to do for downloading older statements. The first account I tried was for Bank of America credit card. It requires that I do one month at a time so I picked December 2024 (since I already have everthing from Ja 2025 on. I chose Microsoft Excel format which renders a CSV files. According to the instructions, that's what is need - CSV. But I get a file upload error trying to bring it into QB.

Thanks for sharing the details and for trying to upload the CSV file yourself, @jeanne29.

To begin, could you please share the error message you've encountered when trying to import your CSV into QuickBooks? That'll help me figure out the issue and provide you with an exact solution.

When manually importing bank transactions into QuickBooks, it’s important to ensure that you’re using the correct 3-column or 4-column format, and it should not exceed 350 KB in size with no more than 1,000 rows. If your CSV file for December 2024 exceeds these limits, you will need to split the transactions into smaller segments to successfully upload this.

If the file meets those requirements but you're still seeing the same error message, you can use an incognito browser when uploading your file to QuickBooks. Using incognito mode can prevent outdated or corrupted data from interfering with your transaction import.

First, thanks for your time and attention to this matter. I went thru the same action to get the error message for you, only this time it worked! Something must have been wrong with the server over the weekend. Also, I actually meant to say upload rather than download 🙂
