The 3-column format has Date, Description, and Amount columns. See the screenshot below. The 4-column format has Date, Description, Credit, and Debit columns. Please take note that CSV files for credit card accounts may display transactions in reverse. For example, deposits may appear as negative amounts because paying your credit card reduces your balance. Then, if you get the same error message when you upload, do the following: Remove any zeros (0) from the file. Leave those cells blank.Correct any transactions that display numbers in the Description column.Remove the word "amount" if it appears in the Credit or Debit column header. They should only read "Credit" and "Debit" without the word "amount."Make sure the dates are in one format. I get this stupid message, "Darn. Upload failed. (probably our fault)" error while trying to import past transactions from credit card in csv format. Why?

thank you for your reply. I tried the exact same upload method the day after and it worked fine. I believe there are bugs in the software which i s worrisome. Now the Amazon import process thru the LAB doesn't work. Super frustrating.

Before doing so, when importing files inside the program, there are requirements that you need to know. Keep in mind that the maximum data size when uploading data inside QBO is 350 KB. In any case, the file you're trying to get into your company exceeds the given requirement, you'll want to shorten the date range, and download transactions in smaller batches. Doing this helps you avoid encountering any error message when performing the feat.
