Question

I have an error that shows 324, my client tried to fix it and log in but the account that is connected to it is for a different account. How do I correct this?

Yes, you’ll have to disconnect and reconnect the account to fix this. QuickBooks Online triggers Error 324 when the bank credentials no longer match the original account setup.

First, categorize any pending transactions in the For Review tab so no data is lost. Then, follow these steps to disconnect it:

  1. Go to the All apps menu.
  2. Select Accounting, then Bank transactions.
  3. Choose the bank account.
  4. Click the pencil icon, then Disconnect account.
  5. Select Disconnect to confirm.

Once done, connect the right bank account.

When prompted during setup, always select All Accounts, even if you only track a few. This keeps your bank token authorized and prevents missing-account errors.
