I have lost my bank feeds for one account only

I have lost my bank feed for my visa account: It states "QuickBooks does not have an online account to handle these transactions, please make a selection below". There is an account in QB, Activate online services is checked, Deactivate online unchecked, Account is inactive unchecked. I have downloaded the transactions manually but it will not import them as with the other accounts. Normally double clicking the the monthly download in the downloads folder opens and imports them in one step.   What do I do?

Thank you for explaining your concern in detail, Oleg6.

First, let's address the problem with your Visa account. To resolve the error messages you received, you’ll have to disconnect and reconnect the account. Before proceeding, ensure that all downloaded transactions are either matched or deleted, as QuickBooks requires you to clear any pending transactions before making changes.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Lists and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Right-click on the account you want to turn off and select Edit Account.
  3. Navigate to Bank Settings.
  4. Click Deactivate all online services, then select OK.
  5. Choose Save & Close to finalize the changes.

Afterward, you'll need to reconnect the account. Refer to this article for detailed instructions on setting up online banking to reestablish the connection, specifically the Connect with Direct Connect section: Set up or edit bank accounts for Bank Feeds in QuickBooks Desktop.

As for the issues with manually downloading your transactions or using the WebConnect feature, you'll have to deactivate all Bank Feeds or online services first. This allows you to upload your bank transactions manually.

Thank you for your response, this may take a couple of days as I will have to reconcile some accounts before proceeding.  I will do so ASAP

Thanks Chris
