Question

I haven't been on to relink my bank for a while. I have just done it however it doesn't seem to have pulled across transactions for the last two months. What can I do?

When relinking, select a start date that includes the missing period. This ensures QuickBooks Online retrieves all necessary transactions. By default, the bank feed usually fetches only the most recent transactions, often up to 90 days, depending on your bank.

Also, could you share the name of your bank? That way, I can check for any known issues with missing transactions.

In the meantime, download the past two month’s transactions as a CSV file from your bank’s website, then manually upload the file into QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the All apps menu, then Accounting, then Bank transactions.
  2. If you see a tile for the account you want to upload transactions into, select it.
  3. Click the Link Account ▼ dropdown and choose Upload from File.
  4. Select Drag and drop or select files, then choose the file you downloaded from your bank.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. In the QuickBooks Account ▼ dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  7. Map the file columns (Date, Description, Amount) to the corresponding fields and click Continue.
  8. Select the transactions you wish to import, then click Continue, Yes, and finally Done.

The imported data will appear in your Pending tab, where you can categorise or match transactions without creating duplicates.
