To help resolve this, could you please let me know which bank you are using? This will help us analyze the issue better and give you the most accurate solution.

Some banks have a maximum character limit for online banking passwords. If a password exceeds that limit, QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) cannot connect because it relies on the security rules required by your bank.

In the meantime, please log in directly to your bank's website to confirm your credentials work and to check for any new password requirements. Once successful, connect the bank account and manually enter those same credentials in QBSE.

I’m using Community America Credit Union. I’m copying and pasting into QB. It should work but this is a new bank.

Type your password manually into the QuickBooks connection screen to prevent login errors caused by hidden characters. Verify the password works by logging directly into the Community America Credit Union website.

Also, please check your Community America Credit Union online banking settings for a third-party access or external app access option and make sure it's turned on. If you can't find it, your bank's support team can help.
