Question

I need to reconcile end of 2020 and then 2021. I was able to pull in bank transactions for December 2020 but now the January 2021 transactions are not pulling into QB?

The bank account is connected to QB. Not sure why I can't get the transactions to pull in.

I've got you covered, sterlingpj8.

Let's perform a manual update to refresh your bank feeds connections. I'm here to help make sure you can do this task in just a few clicks.

Here's how:

  1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), tap the Banking or Transactions menu on the left panel and choose the Banking tab.
  2. Click the Blue tile icon and pick the bank you're working on and tap the Update menu in the upper-right.
  3. If prompted to enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), make sure to key in the information and select Continue update.
  4. Perform the process 3-5 times to build a stable connection.

If none of these suggestions work, perform the troubleshooting steps in this article: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online. Then proceed directly to Step 2: Check your bank or credit card's website section.

Additionally, this link contains resources that will guide you on how to manage your bank feeds and other banking-related activities such as reconciling and account, categorizing entries, etc: QBO self-help articles

Reach out to me again if you have additional questions on how to get your downloaded entries to show in QBO. I'll get back to answer them for you. Have a good one.
