Is there a way to import QB ONLINE data to Turbo Tax BUSINESS DESKTOP?

You need to install the trial version of QB Desktop (i.e 2022-2024) to convert data from QB Online to QB Desktop file. Then you can import your data to TurboTax.

I’m here to give insights on importing your QuickBooks Online data to your Turbo Tax Business Desktop.

 

There’s currently no direct way to perform this process. However, we can use a QuickBooks Desktop account to import your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop, and then transfer them to your Turbo Tax Business Desktop account. 

 

If you don't have a QuickBooks Desktop account. You can download a free trial version of QuickBooks Desktop to access the latest version and edition.

 

After downloading the product, you need to export the data to QBDT. Then, you can transfer your QuickBooks Desktop information to TurboTax.

Why has there still not a direct Quickbooks Online to Turbotax export yet?
This process is clunky and unreliable at best, every year since I've switched to Quickbooks Online.

I love quickbooks online year round, except for tax season.

I understand how important it is to connect QuickBooks Online to TurboTax export directly. However, the feature to export directly from QBO to TurboTax is currently unavailable. We assure you that we're always improving our services for everyone.

 

To help improve your experience, I recommend sending feedback directly to our product engineers.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Select the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Fill in your suggestions in the Feedback field.
  3. Select Next to send it.

 

You can also learn to record tax payments made outside of QuickBooks Online Payroll.
