The system refreshes after changes are made on the account. Or when closing an item or transactions you're working in QuickBooks Online, the page will automatically go back to the top. We're unable to prevent this.
Check out these articles for reconciliation reference:
You should be able to prevent this, it is a recent change.
I am in the midst of doing extensive work to determine how far our cash reserves will last, as we will be in serious trouble and I am trying to convince the company officers to watch their spending. This is major and serious work and I HATE having to remember where I was a return when looking at something else.
This stinks, you are not user friendly and it needs to STOP NOW! If you are powerless than who can I talk to that can?
I've just spent 60mins on QB online chat trying to explain the frustration of the new auto scroll back to the top of the page issue. They simply said the page is was working as it was designed and said there is nothing they can do.. I asked if a resolution is in place, especially due to the amount of disgruntled users in the forum posts, they said nope they can't escalate a complaint within online chat.
I'll handle this query for you about a situation in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
The option to disable the auto scroll up behavior by the system is unavailable. No worries though, what you can do is submit feedback to our product developers.
Follow these steps:
Go to the Gear icon.
Select Feedback.
Rest assured, feedback by our ours are users are reviewed by our product developers. They always keep an eye out for user suggestions.
Post a reply if you have other questions about your QBO company, and I'll take care of them.
You must be joking with this response. This issue is all over the forum yet it still not been addressed. You have made many people's lives worse with this and refuse to a) admit the mistake and b) offer any solution other than submitting feedback which is never going to be rolled out into production product. This truly stinks..
this is not a fix but a workaround. It helps me save some time as I go thru each transaction to clear them.
to avoid jumping back and forth on the screen, limit the number of transactions on the screen by adjusting the dates. You can find the filter on the top left corner right above the date column. By default, it seems to be set to show "All" transactions. I select From and To dates to only see the transcations i am interested in. This may help someone as I was wasting too much time going back and forth on the screen too and getting frustrated.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, BAMBOOG.
I'll share ways that will help to enhance your experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
The option to stop the page from automatically scrolling to the top isn't available. In the meantime, you can open a new tab when opening or editing a transaction to keep the reconciliation screen from refreshing.
I also encourage you to directly submit a request to our product developers to consider this feature in future software updates.
