I'm here to help check why the deposit amount is different from what's in QuickBooks, tara.

You may have put customer payments on the Undeposited Funds account. They automatically appear in the Bank Deposit window.

You can navigate the Bank Deposit window and check if payments are there. Here’s how:

  1. Click + New, then Bank Deposit.
  2. From the Account ▼ drop-down, choose the account you want to put the money into.
  3. Locate other deposits from the Select the payments included in this deposit section.
  4. Mark the box for payments you want to deposit, then click Save and close or Save and new.

Once done, go to the bank register through the Chart of Accounts. Then, open the bank  to see all deposits and the account balance.

I'm adding these articles to help find your deposits and how to post them to the right bank account.

If deposits are downloaded, you can go to the For review tab on the Banking page. Then, check if deposits are still there.

If transactions are there, you can categorize and match them to the ones you've manually recorded in QuickBooks.

Stay in touch with me if you have follow-up questions about the deposit amount. I'm always around to help you.
