Question

Hi .. Is there a problem with the Westpac Bank feeds at the moment? My client has not had any transactions uploaded since the 25/9.

Connectivity issues can occur due to updates on the bank's end or changes in QuickBooks' integration with bank feeds. We are here to guide you through the necessary troubleshooting steps, TonyU.

First, we suggest logging in to Westpac online banking outside of QuickBooks to verify if transactions after September 25th, 2025, are visible in your account. If they appear there, you should be able to download the data into QuickBooks.

Next, check Westpac’s official communication channels for any announcements regarding scheduled maintenance or active feed disruption alerts that might affect your connection.

If there are no reported issues and the transactions are available on the bank’s website, the following step is to refresh the bank feed manually within QuickBooks Online:

  1. Go to Transactions on the left menu and select Bank Transactions.
  2. Find and select the Westpac Bank account in question.
  3. Click the Update button in the top-right corner of the banking page.

Alternatively, you can manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online to maintain your records.
