According to accredited organisation list Quickbooks is supposed to be ready to connect to commonwealth bank, but I am not able to work out how to do it.

We can go to your Bank transactions page to connect your Commonwealth Bank (CBA), Golliwog.

Let me guide you through the process:

    1. In the left navigation menu, click on Accounting.
    2. Select Bank Transactions.
    3. On the right side, next to Update, click on Link Account.
    4. In the search bar, type Commonwealth Bank.
    5. Enter your Client ID and Password, then click Continue.

We can also check out this article on how to connect your Commonwealth Bank (CBA) account to QuickBooks Online via Direct Feeds: Connect to Commonwealth Bank Direct Feeds.

You can return here whenever you need assistance.

    HI again,

That doesn't work - that only offers Direct Feed which is not suitable as Comm Bank doesn't do direct feeds for Credit cards or savings accounts. It is an Open banking connection that I need.

For Open Banking connection, you can go to your Bank transactions and connect the Commonwealth Bank from there, golliwog.

To do so, follow the steps provided below:

    1. Navigate to the Transactions menu in the left panel and select Bank transactions.
    2. Choose Connect account to begin. If an account is already linked, opt for Link account instead.
    3. Find your financial institution by entering its name or URL, or pick it from the available options.
    4. Log in using your online banking credentials and complete any required verification steps.
    5. Select the desired accounts to like savings, or credit card. Note: Ensure the account type aligns with your chart of accounts setup.

Keep in mind that the Account Type for credit cards should always be set to Credit Card. However, you can create a custom account name if needed, and you have the option to rename it at any time later.
