I unlinked my bank it was not a business one, now I can't unlink it because of expenses I did receive! I want the history off my QuickBooks account.

Furthermore, if you've attempted to disconnect your bank and is getting an error, you can delete or make an account inactive instead. But before doing so, I recommend reaching out to your accountant so you won't mess up your books.

Please know that deleting an account is permanent and QuickBooks creates a journal entry and moves the balance to another account once you make an account inactive. To delete or make your account inactive, follow the steps below: 

1. Click the Gear icon and select Chart of accounts.
2. Find the account you want to delete.
3. Select the Action ▼ dropdown and select Make inactive.
