I have quickbooks self-employed. One of my customers prefers to pay thru quickbooks, so I invoice them using quickbooks and they pay that way. When quickbooks transfers it to my account they charge me a fee

When a customer pays you directly through a QuickBooks invoice, the payment isn't a basic transfer between banks. It is processed through QuickBooks Payments. Like any payment processor, QuickBooks charges a processing fee to securely handle, verify, and transfer those digital funds into your bank account.

The exact fee deducted from your payout depends entirely on how your customer chose to pay the invoice:

  • Credit/Debit Cards & Digital Wallets: If they paid using a card or a service like Apple Pay, the standard fee is 2.99% of the total invoice amount.

  • ACH Bank Transfers: If they chose to pay via a direct bank transfer (e-check/ACH), the standard fee is 1%.
