A payment into my bank isn't showing up to be linked to an invoice?

The Record Payment button is actually meant for manually entering a brand-new payment, which is why your downloaded bank transaction isn't showing up there. To connect a bank transaction to an invoice, you’ll need to match it directly from your Bank Transactions screen.

Here’s how:

1. Go to All apps > Accounting > Bank transactions.
2. Find the payment under the Pending tab and click it to expand the details.
3. Select Find Match. QuickBooks will automatically search for open invoices.
4. Select the correct invoice from the list, then click Match.

This will mark your invoice as paid and clear the bank transaction at the same time.
