Allow me to step in and provide some steps to help you categorise your bank transaction
Let's make sure that you pull up the right date of your transactions. This can be the reason they're not showing up in the register.
To do that:
Go to the Accounting menu at the left pane.
Refer to the Chart of Accounts.
Locate the bank, then click the View register at the right under the Action column.
Select the Funnel icon above the Date column.
Click the transactions'Statusand itsType. Then, enter the date afterward.
Hit onApply.
If the problem continues, I recommend undoing the categorized transaction from the banking page and add them again.
Here's how:
Open your QuickBooks Online account, then go to the Banking tab at the left pane.
Choose Banking, then look for your account.
Click on the Categorized column.
Select the item/transaction, then tap on Undo under Action.
If the issue persist you can perform some basic trouble shooting steps. The cache can cause discrepancies if too much data is stored in it. Clearing it will allow your browser to function more efficiently.
Let's begin by accessing your account in a new incognito or private window of your browser. This way, we can check if this issue is related to your current browser or not. Let me guide you how:
Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
Safari: Command + Option + P
Once completed, you can log back into your account and check if the bank and actual balance are displayed already. If it's already displayed, you can clear your browser's cache to optimize it. Also, your browser can start from scratch and improve your QuickBooks Online browsing experience.
