To categorize your receipts and move money between accounts, you'll want to handle these as two separate tasks. First, record the money moving between your bank accounts as a transfer, and then match the receipts.

Here's how:

  1. Go to All apps, then choose Receipts.
  2. Click For review.
  3. Select the receipt, then click Review.
  4. Verify the Payee, Bank/Credit Account, Payment date, and Action.
  5. Select the correct category in the Category dropdown menu. Note: Consult your accountant or tax professional to ensure you choose the correct account for your specific needs.
  6. Hit Save and close.

To avoid duplicate expenses when moving money between bank accounts, record it as a transfer of funds. Once recorded, you can match the transaction. You can check out this article for more details: Transfer funds between accounts.
