I can't seem to find the " switch to classic view button on QB online. Where is it?

You can find the Switch to classic view option under the ellipsis (three-dot) icon right next to the Export button on your report. While this option is currently available for certain reports, please keep in mind that QuickBooks is permanently transitioning to the new Modern View experience.

Along those lines, please note that since specific reports have already been moved to the modern experience, switching back to the classic view is no longer an option for them.
