I get paid in cash whilst with client so don't need invoice. Can I record payment on sole trader plus but not issue invoices?

Yes, you can record the cash payment without issuing an invoice. Since payment happens on the spot, you can use a sales receipt to log the sale and payment in one quick step.

1. Click + Create, then choose Sales receipt.
2. Pick a customer from the Customer dropdown.
3. Set Cash as the Payment method.
4. From the Product/Service dropdown, enter what you sold, and adjust the quantity or rate if needed.
5. Hit Save and close.
