How can I change the view? For instance, I see only dates but no month in the date column.

I can understand how the view on your screen for QuickBooks Online, can impact your work.   I would be glad to provide some insight here!  

One of the quickest ways to adjust your view, is from the browser's zoom settings.  If you're using Chrome, use the zoom options to increase or decrease your view;

1. At the top right, click the vertical ellipsis icon (⋮)
2. Next to Zoom, choose the zoom options you want:

• Make everything larger: Click the plus (+) icon
• Make everything smaller: Click the minus (-) icon

In addition, it's also important to note that QuickBooks Online requires a screen resolution set to 1024x768 or higher, and the Dots-per-inch (DPI) set to "Normal" or "100%".  Follow the links below, to learn how you can check these settings on your computer:
