The most common reason for missing transactions is a connectivity issue between your bank and QuickBooks Online (QBO), @richardhong88. When the connection is disrupted, data synchronization may fail, resulting in missing entries.

To begin with, could you please let us know the name of your bank? This will help us check if there are any known issues or maintenance affecting your bank’s connection on our end. You can also check your Banking page as the transaction might be misplaced or allocated to an incorrect account.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions page.
  2. Select the tile of your credit card account where you downloaded the transaction.

These are three areas to check:

  • First, navigate to the For Review tab. This tab stores recently downloaded transactions. If you locate the missing transaction, assign it to an appropriate account category. Keep in mind that transactions will not appear in your books until they have been categorized.
  • Next, check the Categorized tab. This tells you what happens to transactions you've already categorized. Specifically, review the Added or Matched column. This indicates which account you categorized the transaction under. If you find your missing transaction, but it's in the wrong account, follow these steps to unmatch and move it.
  • Finally, check the Excluded tab. If you mark a transaction as personal or a duplicate, it goes here. QuickBooks won't add excluded transactions to your accounts. If you want to include it, select Undo from the action column. Then go back to the For review tab and categorize it into the correct account.

If the issue persists, you can
manually upload your transactions into QBO to ensure they're recorded correctly. Once you’re all set, you might want to check out this article how to match downloaded bank and credit card transaction: Match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
