Engaging with the Community
Once you've found your way around, the best part of the QuickBooks Community is jumping in. Whether you're thanking someone for a great answer or participating in discussions, here's how to make the most of your membership.
Interacting in Discussions
Like or Reply to Posts
Liking a post, by using the thumbs up button, is a simple way to show appreciation for a helpful contribution. If a response answers your question and points you in the right direction, or helps you solve a problem, give it a thumbs up to let the author know.
- Find the reply you'd like to recognize.
- Select the Thumbs-up icon beneath the reply.

Mark a Best Answer
When someone's reply solves your question, mark it as the Best Answer. It's one of the most valuable things you can do for the next person searching for the same fix.
- Find the reply that answered your question.
- Select Best Answer below that reply.
Once marked, the reply is pinned to the top of the discussion in a highlighted Best answer box complete with a green checkmark and a quick "View in thread" link, so anyone landing on the post can spot the confirmed solution right away.

Follow a Member
Following a member is a handy way to keep up with people whose answers you find helpful. Think of it like bookmarking their profile. It doesn't change your notifications or what you see in your feed.
To follow someone:
- Sign in to the Community.
- Find the member in a post or reply and click their profile icon to open their profile.
- Select Follow Member.

To see who you follow: click your profile icon → My Profile, scroll to the Activity section, and open the Following tab.
To unfollow: click Following next to their name (either from your Following tab or their profile).
Note: Some members choose to receive private messages only from people they follow. You can set your own preference in your community settings.
The QuickBooks Community thrives when members get involved. From marking best answers to keeping up with helpful contributors, every interaction helps others find the solutions they need. Start exploring and engaging with your peers to get the most out of what the community has to offer!
