How can I match Credit note with Sales receipts?

Good to see you here again. I'm here to show you how to handle a credit note in QuickBooks Online.

We can use a credit note to record a refund. With this, we can immediately reduce the client's current open balance or apply it to the invoice as a payment. 

Currently, we're unable to match or apply it to the sales receipt. Instead of a sales receipt, you'll want to record the sale using an invoice. For the detailed steps, please check this link: Create and apply credit notes in QuickBooks Online.
