How do i remove American Formats as they are not compatible with English Britain

Are you referring to the whole QuickBooks settings? If so, you might have been using the US version of the program. You might want to cancel it and subscribe to the UK version of QuickBooks to have the English Britain format: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/choose-country/
