Question

I'd like to add sub categories of sales to keep track of various income streams. Anyone done this?

Welcome to the Community,

 

If you are using QuickBooks Online you can set up sub income accounts and make them sub accounts of the parent sales account

 

On the left hand side go to accounting>chart of accounts>new>set up the sub account as a new account>tick is a sub account and then select the sales income account you want to be the parent.

Then repeat for the other sub sccounts
