To provide you with the most accurate solution, may I know if you pay for QuickBooks via Apple Pay or directly through Intuit? Please share a screenshot to help us determine this.

This subscription loop usually happens when the app's saved data glitches, causing it to temporarily forget your active £19/month subscription and treat you like a new user.

In the meantime, please log in to accounts.intuit.com > select Payment method, and confirm that your subscription is active. If it is, let's refresh the app. You can do this by going to your iPad Settings > selecting the QuickBooks Online app > and toggling the Background App Refresh switch off and back on. Please also ensure you have a stable internet connection.

Once you have finished these steps, restart your device to complete the process. Next, check the App Store for any pending QuickBooks updates and install them. If the issue persists, completely uninstall and reinstall the app to give it a fresh start.

While troubleshooting your app, you can always access your account via a web browser to continue your workflow without interruption.
