I am simply looking for the step by step process to remove some of these Icons on my desktop view that I don't use - The Full View of Purchase Orders and Receive Inventory and Enter Bills Against Inventory - these are just to name a few!  Any suggestions on how to?

Good morning, @accounting18.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the QuickBooks Community. How are you doing today? I hope all is well.

When removing icons from the home screen that you do not use, there are a couple of different ways to do this. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Edit menu and click on Preferences
  2. Tap on the Desktop View option from the left menu.
  3. Select the Company tab at the top. Please know you will need to be signed in as the Company Admin in order to remove icons.
  4. Some thing's such as invoices, statements, etc. can be unchecked from the top list. Note: This is will only remove the icon from the homepage, you can still access these features.
    • However, to remove other items such as estimates, sales tax, etc. you will need to turn the feature off before removing it from the home screen. Here's how:
    • For example, if you wish to remove Estimates.
      • Follow the same steps above. On the lower part of the screen select Estimates
      • Where is asks Do you use Estimates? Tap on No to turn off the feature.
      • Hit OK. Then, that icon will be removed from the homepage and you'll no longer have access to that feature
    • Repeat these steps for each Icon you do not use and wish to have on your homepage.
