I understand your concern. The dedicated search field on the QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) Invoices page has been removed and is no longer supported by QuickBooks. Although this feature is not available anymore, you can still easily find invoices in your list by using your browser’s search function.

To do this, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts and type the customer’s name in the search box, which will highlight the results on your screen:

  • Windows: Press Ctrl + F
  • Mac: Press Command + F

If you have any additional questions or concerns about QuickBooks features, please leave a comment below. We’re here to help!

While Ctrl + F works it's inconvenient, especially if the invoice is more than the last 100.  Then the user has to click on Next to get 101 - 200 and repeat the process.  Now compound that with a business that has 1000 invoices making it a terrible workaround to what was once an excellent feature.

Hey there, @davenagel

Thanks for reaching back in the Community and expressing your concerns about the search function.

I can see how beneficial this could be for you and your business. However, I recommend submitting feedback so that our Product Developers would consider adding this feature back to QBSE. Here's how:

  1. Login to your QBSE account through a web browser.
  2. Press the Gear icon in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Select the Feedback option.
  4. Follow the rest of the on-screen instructions to successfully submit those suggestions.

Feel free to come back if you have any other questions or concerns. Take care!

This is not helping your customers while they just keep raising the price!
