 QuickBooks is currently restricting the ability to turn off Auto Pay & File, which has affected your account, Amanda. I suggest sending feedback to our Development team.

This approach allows them to become aware of your recommendations regarding the process, which they might consider incorporating in future updates to the product.

To submit a request, here's the step:
 

1. Go to the Gear icon at the upper right corner of the page. Under the Profile, select Feedback.
2. Type in your suggestions.
3. Then, submit your request.
