change the business address on W2

To update the business address on your W-2s, you need to change your company's legal address.

Here are the steps to make that correction:

1. From your QuickBooks Desktop home screen, go to the Company menu and then select My Company.
2. Next, in the Company Information window that appears, look for the pencil icon on the right side and click it. It will allow you to edit your company details.
   
   
    
3. In the Edit Company Information window, locate the Legal Information section. You will find the legal address fields here. It's crucial to update this specific address.
   
   
    
4. After updating the legal address, click OK to save the changes.
    

Please note that this change applies to any new W-2s you print. If you've already submitted last year's W-2s, this change won't affect them. The updated address will be used for the current tax year's forms.
