Clair payday loans integrated into QBO
This is complete trash. Intuit should be ashamed of this, but given they fight $tooth and $nail to make sure the IRS doesn't provide online income tax filing to millions of people who aren't their customers, I am not surprised.
I invite every QBO user to visit the Clair website and be horrified at what you can find. Not only that this is not free for your employees as a real payday advance would be, but there is no mention of the fourth party (and likely more) personal data sharing in the info you get from Intuit pushing this nonsense.
This is like a shark selling tickets to other sharks at the feeding frenzy. Disgusting.
Since the setting for this in Payroll Settings > Shared data is vague to mute about this point: It says the setting is for providing access for employees to these payday loans, NOT that it's actually turning off sharing their data and my businesses data with this third party and their silent partners.
So, which of these scenarios does this setting actually control, employee access to third party, or third party access to employees? Should be the latter leading to the former.
