Hi, LDO.

I understand your concern about discovering the incorrect Social Security number (SSN) after quarterly forms have already been filed. Here are the steps you can take to correct that.

Since the error affects forms that were already submitted, I recommend reaching out to our Live Support team for assistance. They have the expertise and tools needed to help you update the SSN in your payroll system and amend any federal forms, such as 941s, to ensure your records are accurate.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Navigate to the Help menu.
  2. Go to the Search tab and click Contact Us.
  3. Describe your concern and select Contact Us again.
  4. Click Yes when prompted to discuss with an expert.
  5. Choose how you’d like to connect: via Chat, Make an appointment, or Call back.

If your automated tax features are turned off, you may need to manually correct your state forms. In this case, I recommend checking your state agency for detailed instructions on how to file amendments.

For more details about the process, refer to this article: Correct your employee's Social Security number.

Feel free to share additional questions if you have further clarifications about this.
