How to change name of person to contact on 1096 form?

Let's correct the contact person in your 1096 form by updating your company contact information.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Under Your Company, choose Accounts and Settings.
3. Click Contact info.
4. Fill in the information.
5. Click Save, then Done.

Then you can proceed in printing your 1096 with correct contact person.

Allow me to join this thread and help you update the name of the contact person in your Form 1096.

In the process of printing 1096, you’ll have the option to change the name of the contact person. I’m including a screenshot of where it should be in QuickBooks.

Here’s how you can get to this screen and edit the information:
1.    Prepare your 1099s in QuickBooks.
2.    When complete, choose the Print and mail option and click I’ll file myself.
3.    On Select a form type and print a sample screen, select 1096, then click Yes, looks good!
4.    Click the Add contact information link on the Select a form type and print screen.
5.    Fill in the Contact person field and click Next.
6.    Once finish printing your forms, click Done.
