How to edit a scheduled payroll

Thanks for sharing the details of your concern about editing scheduled payroll in QuickBooks Online. Worry not. I'm here to help you with this matter.

For paper checks and unprocessed direct deposit, you simply delete the payroll and run it again with the correct dates. Here's how:

1. Go to Payroll, then Employees.
2. Select Paycheck list.
3. Select the paycheck(s) you'd like to delete or void, then select Delete.
4. Select Yes.

For unprocessed or offloaded direct deposit, we can no longer stop the process. However, you can contact our payroll expert. This way, we'll e able to correct the paycheck date in your records.

In the meantime, I suggest reaching an internal agreement with your employees and notifying them that their pay will be received on Tuesday.
