Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Some problems in QuickBooks Online (QBO) often fix by clearing the cache. Sometimes a browser cache can be corrupted and can cause a variety of issues. To boost the background process of your browser let's run basic troubleshooting steps.
Run your QBO account on a private browser and set up employee Standard Occupational Classification codes. If you able to set up the code, go back to the original browser and clear the cache. Also, switching to other different browsers can also help resolve the issue.
I also recommend making sure the web browser you're using is up-to-date with its latest release or one of it's two prior releases. QuickBooks supports the current and two previous versions of its supported browsers. If you find that you're using an older version which isn't compatible, make sure to update it to its latest release.
Additionally, here's an article that you can read to learn how to set up your employees code and which state require occupational codes: Set up occupational codes for employees.
To ensure you assigned the accurate numerical code in QuickBooks, you can find the correct occupational code for each of your employees through the link.
