How can I get an employee to be able to clock in on Tsheets is he is already there as a subcontractor?

Let’s work together to make sure your employee can successfully clock in using the QuickBooks Workforce app, ZURY.

Since the employee is still active as a subcontractor, you'll need to Archive their subcontractor profile in QuickBooks Time first.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to My Team using the left-side menu.
  2. From the All Team Members tab, find the employee and click the three-dot icon next to their name.
  3. Select Archive to make their subcontractor profile inactive.

Then, create a new employee profile in your QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop account, which will sync automatically with QuickBooks Time. If the subcontractor and employee are listed under identical names, you’ll need to inactivate the subcontractor profile or add a unique identifier to the employee’s profile first.

Once the profile is configured, you'll have to reinvite them they can complete their account set up.

If you have any further questions about employee management in your account, we’ll be here to assist you.
