Question

I see there is a warning box that says my employees wont get paid until Friday July 11. How do I just push through a direct deposit payment for Monday July 7 instead?

I’m set up for direct deposit, which usually pays my employees the next business day, or the day after next depending on what time of day I submit payroll.

Your employees will be paid based on the funding lead time you set in QuickBooks Online, Jeff.

To verify, can you tell me what specific direct deposit lead time you use to pay your employees?

If you set your direct deposit funding time to the same day or the next day, your employees will be paid on the next banking day. Please know that Intuit doesn’t process payroll on weekends or holidays. To avoid any delays, ensure that you submit your payroll on time. You can also double-check the pay date when submitting, as an incorrect date can hold up payments.

You can utilize this article if you accidentally paid an employee or contractor twice. You can also request direct deposit to recover the money: Reverse a Direct Deposit.
