Question

Is there any requirement to include sums paid to company healthcare providers (Harvard Pilgrim) on our payroll system and to have them appear on people’s payslips?

Hi Annabel!

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! I am happy to provide information on how QuickBooks displays healthcare insurance on an employee’s payslip.

If you add health care insurance to your employee profile as an item, their payslips will automatically show the deduction on the paycheck date (Current) and the Year-to-date total (YTD).

Here's a sample of how a payslip shows the healthcare insurance of an employee:

I'm adding this article for your reference: Set up voluntary deductions in Online Payroll. It contains steps about adding insurance items for an employee.

Let me know if you have any other concerns with your setup. Take care and have a good one!
