I'm here to help ensure your Mileage tracking is working properly in QuickBooks Online.
Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to resolve mileage tracking issues. First, let's check if your auto-tracking in the app is turned on. I'll show you how to check.
Give QuickBooks permission to track your location. This will vary depending on your Android Operating System.
For Android OS version 10 and below:
For location permissions, select Allow. If prompted, select Allow all the time.
If you are prompted to allow access to your physical activity, select Allow.
For Android OS version 11 and above:
For location permissions select While using the app, then select Ok (if prompted). Then click Allow all the time.
If you are prompted to allow access to your physical activity, select Allow.
Also, only users with admin privileges can track mileage for the company file.
If the issue persists, review your device's location settings. Check to see if QuickBooks Online app can operate in the background. If you don't allow it to run in the background the app only tracks trips when it is open and active on your screen.
