New employee can't log into QuickBooks Workforce; Incorrect phone number showing for employee during login

We recently added a new employee to QuickBooks and sent her an invitation to join QuickBooks Workforce. When she tries to log in for the first time, she’s prompted to verify her identity via a phone number that isn’t hers. I’ve double-checked that her correct phone number is entered in her employee profile.

Why is an incorrect number showing up, and how do we fix this so she can access her account?

Hi there, @stubbsk.

If the employee has a previous Workforce account, they will see a sign-in screen to enter their email address and password or phone number.

If the employee no longer has access to the phone number, follow the steps in this article to recover the account: Recover Your Intuit Account if You Can't Sign In.

Once their account returns, they can update or change their Intuit Account sign-in information. They can change their user ID, password, email address, or phone number. Follow these steps to change the Intuit Account credentials directly in the Intuit Account Manager:

  1. Go to the Intuit Account Manager website. They'll sign in using the same credentials they use for any other Intuit product, such as QuickBooks or TurboTax.
  2. Once signed in, they'll navigate to the Sign in & security section of the menu.
  3. From there, they can select and update their login credentials.
  4. After making the necessary changes, they must click Save.
