My employees will potentially work a different amount of hours each pay week and potentially at different pay rates. The Core software I have doesn't seem to support this. If not supported, what is the minimum software level I need to do this.

Based on your statement above, I can see that we have an option to set different hourly rates for each employee. With this, you can set up additional rate types in addition to a regular hourly rate to pay employees in different amounts. This makes it simple to create various pay rate types for various team jobs or particular sorts of labor.

Please take note that you can only set up to 8 different hourly rates for each employee.

Here’s how you can set up different hourly rates:

  1. Select Employees, then Payroll.
  2. Choose an employee.
  3. Select Start or Edit from the Pay types menu.
  4. Select + Another hourly rate.
  5. Enter the Rate per hour and the Pay type name.
  6. When finished, click Save.
