Situations like this can understandably cause concern, so let’s work through the steps to review and correct your payroll bank account settings to help ensure everything is accurate moving forward.

First, I recommend reviewing your payroll settings to ensure the correct bank account is selected for payroll transactions:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Payroll Settings.
  3. Look for the section Bank Accounts to verify which bank account is currently linked for payroll debits.
  4. If the bank account is incorrect, update it to the correct one and save the changes.

With regards to your concern about the bank account number changes, please be aware that QuickBooks will never change your bank account details or information. It’s possible that someone on your team may have updated this information. However, if you have confirmed that no one authorized such changes, I recommend reaching out to our Payroll Live Support Team for further assistance.

To contact them, here's how:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

2. Click the Help icon.

3. In the Search tab, type Contact Us in the search field.

4. Click the Contact Us button, then select either Chat or Callback.

We appreciate your attention to this matter and understand how important it is to have your payroll information accurate and secure. If you have any further questions or need assistance reviewing your account settings, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our goal is to ensure your payroll runs smoothly and your team is supported every step of the way. Thank you for choosing QuickBooks, and we’re here to help whenever you need us.
